ALL DJ get ready to the comepetion!不論你是老或是少！老鳥還是菜鳥，這絕對是你的機會大展你的音樂長才。對於喜歡jazz hip hop或是熱愛像是一些節奏輕快soulful的house等音樂的朋友，應該對於這家來自於英國的廠牌不會太過於陌生。而這充滿MIXTAPE年代的現在，MIX就是這比賽的最終精神。拿出你的唱片，不論是唱片CD或是你想要使用數位器材的搭配。都沒有關係!在臥房苦練多年的你，等待的就是這樣的機會。

Deadline: First round closes 16/7/2010 – Final round 30/7/2010
BBE was founded on a love of good music, and that's what they've strived to give you ever since. The line-up of artists that have released their music includes such greats as Jazzy Jeff, Marley Marl, DJ Vadim, DJ Spinna, Keb Darge, Paul Weller and Cut Chemist, Alice Smith and Masters at Work. Spanning 14 long years, Barely Breaking Even records has not sought publicity, it's not a label that has wallowed in its self, but has focussed on the music.
We're proud to shine the spotlight on BBE, and in association with Juno Download and WhoSampled.com we welcome DJ's across the world to browse the BBE catalogue and create a mix to upload on Mixcloud. The winner's mix will be released on BBE later in the year.
How to enter:
- Lay down a mix containing only your favorite BBE releases, selected from across their catalogue which you can access via Juno Download.
- Upload your mix to mixcloud.com and name it BBE Mixtape Competition 2010
- Use the custom artwork provided here (right click and save-as the image) as the cover-art for your mix and tag it "BBE competition" – if you fail to tag / name correctly it might get missed!
- There will be two rounds of judging, the first round closes on the 16th of July and qualifying mixes will proceed to the final round which closes on the 30th of July.
- So, you will have plenty of time to dig through the BBE catalogue, plan your mix and promote it!
Judging Criteria:
First round will be based on the Cloudcast data – Entries with total number of plays greater than 100 will be considered along with number of favorites and the community feedback in the comments – the top ten go through.
The second round of judging will be based across a combination the following criteria: Originality, Selection, Depth, Creativity, and Musicality
The finalists will be chosen by our panel of esteemed judges: DJ Vadim and Richy Pitch
Prizes:
The winning Mix, as selected by the Mixcloud community and our judges will get an official release on BBE Records later this year.
All of the top 5 finalists will each receive £20 worth of Juno Download vouchers.

Terms and Conditions
Prize is non-transferrable and there is no cash alternative. The final decision lies with the BBE, Mixcloud Whosampled and the judges. There will only be one winner. The winning mix will be expected to be to a certain quality for release as specified by BBE. BBE reserve the right to withdraw this competition at any time.
